What is MobiLine?
MobiLine is a calling and social app with a focus on MobiLine’s patents granted video caller ID that gives its users the feature of “Know Then Answer”. It’s super-fast, simple and free.
With MobiLine, you can expect to see an introduction video of the Caller before you decide whether you want to answer the call.
Who is it for?
MobiLine has been designed for everyone, who is attentive and careful about their time – who chooses to communicate only knowing in advance who is calling and what the purpose of the call is. How do you create a video invitation as your calling? How does this work?
You can record a video as you are calling someone; they can preview your video, and if they like it, then they can answer your call.This is the new way of calling, which turns the cold call into a much warm one. When someone receives your call, they can know reason behind your call and then answer in real-time. At the same time, when you receive a call, you have the option to accept the call or decline based on what you see, hear and learn first.
Video invitation gives MobiLiners video or audio calls. Regardless of how you call on MobiLine, you are adding face value to every call.
What makes MobiLine different from other networks and apps?
MobiLine’s video technology, “Know Then Answer”, – allows user to record up to a 15-second video clip that becomes a video invitation to every call recipient, giving the call recipient a video preview of the call before they answer the phone. This patented innovation lets people learn the reason behind every call they receive.

Is MobiLine a communication or a social networking app?
It is a combination of both. MobiLine has been created as a video communication platform for people who are looking for meaningful calls and connections through video.
Our users not only have the opportunity to meet new people nearby or exploring the community categorized by interest – through video for personal or freelance business, but also they can effectively communicate (text and call) in the app with both new contacts and known contacts from your mobile phone contact list.

Is it available on my device?
We are now working hard to provide both the iOS and the Android users with their native applications.
You can download the latest version of our app developed for iOS users in the Apple Store by registering via your mobile phone number – you will receive a one-time SMS to download the app (for now while we are finishing up the development) and the Android users can be sure to find their app on the Google Play Market.

How do I join the MobiLine community?
It is super easy – just download the app following the links on our website Home page, install it and follow the instructions.

We provide support for and recommend using the following devices:
- Android running OS 4.1 and newer
- iPhone running iOS 10 and newer
Once you have one of these devices, install MobiLine and register. MobiLine can only be activated with one phone number on one device at a time.
How to update MobiLine
You can easily update MobiLine from your phone’s application store. Please note if you received a message that isn’t supported by your version of MobiLine, you’ll need to update MobiLine. We encourage you to always use the latest version of MobiLine. Latest versions contain the newest features and bug fixes.
Go to the Google Play Store and search for MobiLine. Tap Update next to MobiLine App.

Who can I reach out to and how?
You can reach out to your friends and family from your phone contact list without a video introduction through a direct call. However, you are to create a video greeting in order to connect with new people.
There is a way to upload your contacts into MobiLine – in order to sync your device address book – go to your device Settings -> MobiLine -> Enable contacts. This will grant the app access to your contact list.
You can also invite your friends on Facebook and Twitter to join you on MobiLine.
Can I delete/cancel my videos?
Yes, in your Profile you will see a list of your video greetings. When tapping a video – you will be taken to video Details Page where you can manage and delete the chosen video.
Can I block people?
Yes, you can block users you no longer wish to communicate with. This means that these people will not be able to see your profile and contact you. You can manage your Blocked Users list in your Settings tab -> Account.
How do I report an abusive community member?
MobiLine does not permit unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, obscene, vulgar, offensive, profane, or content that is otherwise deemed inappropriate by us in our sole discretion.
We treat harassment and discrimination of any kind very seriously. Thus we encourage community members to access our Help Center to report any such abusive content to our respective representatives. Your appeal and the detailed material you provide will be reviewed, and if we agree that our rules have been broken – the abusive subscriber will be notified and warned, and the content reported will be deleted. Any MobiLine subscriber who repeatedly posts such content will be blocked from the MobiLine community.
How do you create a video introduction? How does it work?
In your Profile you will find clear instructions on how to create your introduction video – a brief introduction of yourself: who you are, what you do and what interests you, what the purpose of your call is and what you intend to discuss. Your mobile device camera is more than enough. Just tap the corresponding text on the Profile screen, grant app the permissions to access the camera and microphone, and the app will do the rest. Then, choose a category you want your introduction video to be found, and assign tags (hashtags) within that category. When you publish your video, you’ll appear in the chosen category. These videos are “public” which means they are visible to all MobiLine community members, as the users explore different categories.
What are the categories used for and how do you search?
The categories, if you will, are like filters: they allow MobiLine community members to add videos to specific areas of interest where they want to be discovered or where they can search and explore what they might need or want to learn from other community members. The categories are a range of interests with an opportunity to take call relevance to a new level and by dramatically increasing call connectivity. Each category offers you the opportunity to display your talent with a video clip and get noticed by potential connections around the world.

Video invitation is the first step for both video and audio calls. Regardless of how you call on MobiLine, you are constantly adding face value to every call.
Can I make a "direct call" without recording an invitation?
Yes, with MobiLine you can make a direct call – either by a force or long tab on calling icons or during the countdown to calling, just press the call button and it will become a regular call without a video or voice invitation. However, such direct calls can be made with people from your contact list only. The app will require you to record the introduction video prior to a call to anyone you would like to connect with for the first time. Such users cannot be called directly.
What are usernames? How do I get one?
Username is the name that will be displayed to all MobiLine users when they see your account.
You create it only once – when you register in the app.
Will people know my number?
No, we do not share your personal information. We ask you for your phone number only once – when you register in the app – to know that you are a real person and eliminate all possible fake accounts and bots.
What if someone is pretending to be me?
Please contact our Help Center as soon as possible. Our Team will conduct a deep research to get to the bottom of the situation. Every such case is to be treated individually.
How do I delete my username?
You can edit your username in your Profile tab at any time. However, any account should have a username. You cannot delete it. If you are no more interested in using the MobiLine app – you can delete your account in the Settings tab -> Account.
Voice and Video Calls
How to make a voice call?
Voice calling lets you call your contacts using MobiLine for free, even if they’re in another country. Voice calling uses your phone’s internet connection rather than your mobile plan’s minutes. Data charges may apply.

Open MobiLine, then tap the Calls tab. Find the contact you want to voice call, then tap Voice Call .
How to make a video call?
Video calling lets you video call your contacts using MobiLine.

Switch from a voice call to a video call
While on the voice call, tap video call > Switch.
The contact you’re voice calling will see a request to switch to a video call and can accept or decline the switch.

While on the video call, tap Video Off , which will notify the contact you’re video calling.
Once the contact turns their video off, the call will be switched to a voice call.
Security and Privacy
How secure is MobiLine?
MobiLine is end-to-end encrypted. Not even MobiLine team can access your conversation. So please do a backup if at any point in time restore of your data will be required.
Why is MobiLine asking for certain permissions?
In order to record a video or add the contact list stored in your device – the MobiLine app needs you to grant access to the corresponding data. You can manage these permissions in your device setting (Settings > MobiLine).
How do you encrypt data?
Privacy and security is in our DNA, which is why we built end-to-end encryption into our app. When end-to-end encrypted, your messages, photos, videos, voice messages, documents, status updates and calls are secured from falling into the wrong hands.
Why should I trust you?
Security is essential to the service MobiLine provides. We’ve seen multiple examples where criminal hackers illegally obtained vast sums of private data and abused technology to hurt people with their stolen information. Since completing the implementation of end-to-end encryption in 2016, digital security has become even more important.
MobiLine has no ability to see the content of messages or listen to calls that are end-to-end encrypted. That’s because the encryption and decryption of messages sent and received on MobiLine occurs entirely on your device. Before a message ever leaves your device, it’s secured with a cryptographic lock, and only the recipient has the keys. In addition, the keys change with every single message that’s sent. While all of this happens behind the scenes, you can confirm your conversations are protected by checking the security verification code on your device.
Naturally, people have asked what end-to-end encryption means for the work of law enforcement. MobiLine appreciates the work that law enforcement agencies do to keep people safe around the world. We carefully review, validate and respond to law enforcement requests based on applicable law and policy, and we prioritize responses to emergency requests.
Do I own my videos or can MobiLine share my videos, too?
However, if you mark your video as private, it will not be available to the public.
How do you verify users?
We ask you to share your phone number to get you registered in the app – to know that you are a real person.
Our Team also monitors the introduction videos – and can delete the videos where the face of the user cannot be seen or there is any other reason to doubt the authenticity of the video.
Do you sell my information?
We have no intention to either share or sell your private information. MobiLine treats its users’ privacy very seriously.
Do you share our information with third party companies?
We do NOT share your information with Third Party companies.
Can’t change phone number
If you’re having issues using the change number feature, make sure that:
- The old phone number you entered is currently registered on your MobiLine account. You can see what phone number is registered by going to MobiLine Profile tab. If your old phone number isn’t registered, please register it first before you attempt to change your phone number again.
- You have an active and working SIM card for the new phone number you want to use with MobiLine.
- You have a strong and stable cellular connection.
- Your phone has sufficient internal storage.
Problems sending or receiving messages
The most common reason why you can’t send or receive MobiLine messages is a bad Internet connection.
If you’re sure your phone is connected to the Internet, there are a few reasons why MobiLine messages aren’t going through:
- Your phone needs to be restarted or turned off and on.
- The contact you’re messaging has blocked your number.
Incorrect timestamps on messages
If the timestamp displayed on your received messages or the last seen time of your contacts are incorrect, please check the time and time zone configuration on your phone. You might need to re-adjust them.
We recommend setting your date and time to Automatic or Network Provided. With this setting enabled, your mobile provider will set your phone to the correct time. If the incorrect time is displayed even with this setting enabled, then there might be an issue with your network. Please contact your mobile provider to address the issue.
As a workaround, please modify your date and time settings and correct your time zone manually.
Note: The time zone is different than the actual time. Make sure you select the correct time zone for your location.
To configure your time zone manually, please follow these steps for your phone:
- Android: Go to Settings > System > Date & Time.
iPhone: Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
